Top 5 responsive yoyo tricks

Responsive yoyo tricks are performed using yoyos designed to return with a tug. These tricks are perfect for beginners, enabling them to master fundamental moves like "Sleeper" and "Around the World," while building their control and coordination.


Sleeper

    • Place your hand out palm up, lay the yoyo on the palm of your hand with the string going over the top of the yoyo.

    • Bring your arm up, making a muscle. Then once in this position, throw the yoyo down.

    • Turn your hand over so that your palm is now facing down. flick your wrist, and watch the yoyo return to your hand.

  • Don't forget to catch the yoyo once it reaches the top!

Walk the dog

    • Using what you learnt in the video above, make a muscle and throw the yoyo down into a sleeper. Once there, lower the yoyo gently so that it rests on the ground, and walk forward with your dog!

  • Then, using precise hand movements, the player flicks up the yoyo slightly, and at the same time brings the other hand underneath the yoyo ready to catch on top of the index finger.

Breakaway

    • Hold the yoyo in the palm of your hand, with it facing down in front of your body. Make a short sharp C motion.

  • Once the yoyo has hit its furthest part of the string, pull it back to your hand and catch it.

Rock the baby

    • Throw the yoyo in a sleeper trick, once there, grab the string with your none throwing hand and pull over your thumb.

  • Once your have done that, open up the string and rock the baby (yoyo) in between the yoyo string. After you have rocked a few times, let go of the string, and return the yoyo back to your hand.

Skyrocket

    • Throw a normal sleeper trick, once the yoyo is sleeping, take the string off your finger and pinch with your thumb and finger.

  • Then, return the yoyo to your hand, but when the yoyo is almost up let go of the string sending the yoyo up and catch!


Top 5 unresponsive yoyo tricks

Unresponsive yoyo tricks involve advanced maneuvers performed with yoyos that do not return with a tug. These tricks, such as "Braintwister" and "Trapeze," challenge experienced players to execute intricate string formations and incorporate binding techniques for impressive and captivating displays of skill.


Bind

    • Throw a sleeper in front of you, place your finger on the none throwing hand on the outside of the yoyo string.

    • Wrap the string over your your finger and back under the yoyo. Whilst you do this let the string run over your finger so that you have enough string to play with.

    • Once you have completed that. pinch the string at the top with your thumb and index finger.

  • Once ready, pull with your throwing hand a release with your other hand, and watch the yoyo return to your hand.

Trapeze

    • Start off by preforming a breakaway trick. Once you have released the yoyo, put your index finger out so that the yoyo string hits your finger and flicks the yoyo over landing it on the string.

    • TIP: Make sure to land the yoyo close to your finger. Making landing on the string easier.

  • Once you have done that part of the trick, you will notice it looks like the bind. So all that's left to do, is finish off the bind.

Mack 5

    • THrow a normal sleeper in front of you, lift the string up and roll the string over your pointer hand and catch the yoyo on the string.

  • Once the yoyo has hit its furthest part of the string, pull it back to your hand and catch it.

Brian twister

    • Throw the yoyo in a sleeper trick, once there, grab the string with your none throwing hand and pull over your thumb.

  • Once your have done that, open up the string and rock the baby (yoyo) in between the yoyo string. After you have rocked a few times, let go of the string, and return the yoyo back to your hand.
